Hi Ted

Did you check the ressonance under different temperatures with other
parameters constant? Leafs, snow cover, etc?

I guess, snow cover can be more important than leafs.

I assume you don´t use any capacitor that can change it´s value under diff
temps.

I would try to see the resonance at different parameter until a clear
explanation?

In some situations I faced similar detuning and pinpointed the causes to
nearby objects or structures

For example, in my many hours (actually, thousands) of mobile ops using
trailing wires (up to 120 ft long), tunnels detuned the system and the SWR
protection circuitry of the rig (a Ken 440) lowered the out power. Also
detuning when using the trailing wire on 40m, varying speed vehicle because
different surface distance.

I would like to follow your observations on that, despite we don´t have snow
here,hihi

Rgds, Mac
