Hello,

I wonder if is it possible to use a detuning device like, i.e., the wire
rectangle and series variable cap connected to a tower section that
electrically vanishes it, to install and tune it at the first meter or first
two meters of a grounded 70' tower and "disconnect" (RF isolate) it from
ground. To then be able to add loading devices, like capacitive hats in a HVD
fashion or coils, to tune the sistem as a parasitic element coupled to a shunt
fed tower at the right distance. Ground or elevated radials are a no-no in this
case.

Does someone have any information or experience on the subject? Or maybe any
suggestion on how to take advantage of this nice self-standing piece of
grounded conducting material as parasitic element?
