Well this is the most interesting thread I have seen on here for a long
time. Good deal.
I think I might have been discouraged trying to get on 160 from a small
noisy lot. Kudos to you all who do that. I got hooked on 160 by operating
some stations which had space for some big antennas and relatively low
noise.
That said, to get more people on Topband, I would make my station available
to people who lived around here (Northeast Oklahoma) to play with 1.5 KW and
a big vertical. I don't have much in the way of RX antennas, but I have
some and they do work. My out-in-the-country QTH is pretty quiet. I can
copy a lot of DX on the transmit antenna. It's a real good time.
