That's interesting info Dave. Doing antenna modeling I notice that some
directional configurations have two vertical back lobes the relative gain of
which can be varied. At my QTH the main thunderstorm activity during the winter
DX season is > 1000 miles away so from this info I would favor a design with a
weaker low angle back lobe.
Does anyone in the group have a comment on typical 160m QRN arrival angles at
their QTH?
