The flag has low gain for however EZENEC does not calculate gain correctely for 
small loops close to ground. Check the help notes about it. One preamp is 
enough to bring sensivity above the loop termal noise.  I'm using one preamp 
with a dual flag where the gain is even reduced by the phasing lines and it is 
plenty of gain,

The choke is a must, the vertical part of the feed should not act like a 
vertical or a BOG. The feed line needs to be grounded, and ground loops also 
need to be avoid.
