I worked late last evening, unfortunately arriving home late (0530z) to the
party going on between 1.800 and 1.850 Mhz. Fortunately, there was enough
'punch' left to put Vlad ER4ER into the log (a new one for me!), and work a
handful of LY stations, one after another. This was a good sign for this
morning, where between 1400-1500z the Pacific AND EU were workable here. There
was a feeding frenzy going on over the VK4, and I was able to put a few EU
stations in the log. Scanning up the band, I heard EY8MM calling CQ! He was
loud enough to try for, but was unable to get his attention. I tried getting a
recording of his CQ, but wasn't fast enough before he stopped or the band
changed; I DID get audio of OH1XX and RL3FT CQ'ing (and someone calling
OH1XX)... I posted it here: http://bmoran.onehub.com/n9adg .
CU in the contest this weekend!
