Gary, That VV of yours will very well withstand the voltage presented over it, connected in series with the feedpoint of an inverted L! As you suggested, the voltage is not an issue here, more the capacitors ability to handle current. Myself I've been using 500 volts SM fixed caps with full legal without encountering any problems. 73 es CU on Topband!
