I thought using a cell tower was also a good idea. I used one in the late 80's
during the ARRL 160 contest operating from Ohio. I used it to hang an inverted
vee dipole with the center at 300 ft. Strung out Beverages and went on to place
#2 single op (no assistance) in the US/VE. I thought it worked very well.
