Does anyone have suggestions or critical commentary on the idea of "guying"
a 60 ft alum monopole (with 10 ft dia top hat) using horizontal lines attached
to two trees - one on each side of the monopole?
I have a problem with a standard 3 or 4 line configuration guy array because
of property issues. Each tree is substantial - 4 ft diameter, healthy
specimes about 10 ft from the monopole. Im thinking about several horizontal
lines - the highest around 45 ft, another at 20. The base section will be
very
well secured with an anchor fixture. The monopole will be 2", .25 wall alum
tapered slightly.
