What about comparing elevated radials vs. ground by considering an
inverted quater-wave vertical top fed ... ( and intrinsically
loaded as current maximum is up) ? Radials are then often be part
of guys. I saw expeditions using them . Wonder if anybody has any
such experience or benchmarks w.r.t. verticals with ground radials.
Gerd, DF6SJ , has done some quite interesting EZNEC-simulations and
theoretical work in a book ( in German) . But I know of no
experimental results including on a given - same -ground of both
inverted and non.
Any experience t.b. reported?
