Tony, Apart from the peak voltage considerations which would exceed 5KV at 1KW
for some feed designs, ceramic caps in many cases have problems with handling
high currents. It may be preferable to look for larger AM TX or ATU mica caps
which are often listed on eBay for very reasonable prices. If you can not
find the exact values you need you can always "tune" the cap with a series
inductor.
