Thanks to all who have provided ideas/suggestions/tips, etc. for using the MFJ-1026. And, while I still haven't been able to improve my S/N ratio to any useful degree with it, I have not give up - yet. I am, however, finding it harder and harder to suppress an overwhelming urge to drop-kick the thing into the back yard. The experimenting continues...
