before gearing up for the CQWW 160m contest, we are considering to change
our good old (30 meter high) vertical
into a half (delta) loop. Adding some 90 meters of wire running from the
mast top to a feedpoint at ground level
(with its own set of radials) should give us a couple of additional dBs
low-angle radiation direction USA?
(Ref ON4UN, 2nd edition.)
However, before changing our present antenna set-up, I'd first like to hear
your comments/experiences!
In short: is it worthwhile the trouble?
