That one might be a switching power supply.  The 36 kHz frequency is a
little low for modern supplies, but it's still within the range that SMPSs
work in.  I'll bet you could hear it below the band if you listened
carefully among the BC stations.  If it is a power supply, it should be
fairly easy to hunt down.
