My new K9AY with 85 ft loops and Vactrol f/b is much better on Medium
Wave Broadcast band than 160m or 80m. MW f/b is 20/30db, 160 f/b is
15/20 db but 80m only 10db at best. Grounding is by centre stake and
radials under each loop.
Sensitivity is good on 80m but very disappointed in f/b.
Suspected re-radiation from shunt fed 40ft tx vertical 130 feet from
loops so I dropped the tx mast. No change in loop performance.
Any ideas please.
