I'm planning on putting up two receive antennas and need some advice on
their size and apacing. First I'm going to try a beverage aimed NW/SE and
I'm looking at the unidirectional/bidirectional design describe in ON4UN's
third edition of Low Band DXing fig 7-21onpage 7-20. My question is should
I make the antenna cone of silence length or avoid this length to get best
bidirectional response?

I am also planning on putting up broadside, end to end, pennants aimed NW/SE
and would like to know the best spacing to optimize performance on both 160
and 80 meters. If there is no good spacing for both bands, what is the
best spacing for 160?

Please respond to NW6S@arrl.net.

Thanks for any advice/help.
