Hi reflectees !
The C9-group produced nice sigs into central EU again. Yesterday only the
eastern EU had a slim chance to do it. A day b4 central EU had somewhat of a
chance.
They seem to hear well and run reliable QSO procedures.
I tried the new hybrid-coupler for the transmit array on them and it worked out
nicely.
The hybrid coupler seems to have the best directivity out of all phasing arrays
i ever tried, and i tried a lot of them. The nice thing is, that as well the
VSWR is very low in all phasing states thru the box.
Its been described in John/ON4UN`s book and Earl/K6SE tried it out first among
the 160-guys that i know.
It surely is a worthwhile project to put time into.
There is still time to nail a gadget like this together for the good times on
topband to come in fall !
