This was a more interesting test in my opinion. Guys to the south were
grumbling about lousy conditions. North and east seemed happy but 5mW cut
off the guys in fly-over country--sorry Wisconsin...

Despite the sub-optimal transmitting antenna (80 meter OCD), the signal did
get out. It is a NVIS pattern but North Carolina and Maine were able to
pull out the signal. The sweet spot seems to be anything NW to NE of here
275 miles out. 15 reports filed from 7 states/provinces--not a bad haul
for 5mW.
Two thirds (66%) of the listening antennas were Beverages for what that's
worth. Bill, W4ZV, this the current 160 meter RX king at 109,360 mi/watt.
Just to refresh your memory, the 40 meter beacon netted 7 reports at 5uW.
On 80 meters, we averaged 5 reports at 5mW. But everybody knows, the real
Hams hang out on 160 so the participation is probably way up.
