How important is it to regulate the DC supplied to a topband preamp? If the preamp is rated to run on a range of voltages ((in this case, an ARR P1-30/20VD rated for 11-16 VDC at 40ma) is it best to run it near the top limit, or the bottom, or doesn't it matter? The active device is an LT-1001A bipolar transistor.
