I've been doing NEC2 modeling using Nec2Go for some time. www.nec2go.com I
like the software for many reasons. Most nobably, the ability to define
antenna elements, spacing, transmission line parameters, and load parameters
as variables in a text file instead of using spreadsheet style input. This
facilitates sweeping the lengths and dimensions to optimize the design
quickly. Nec2Go is a virtually limitless, windows, AO style modeling
program.
The 3D view in Nec2Go actually calculates the Average Gain and displays the
RDF directly. This is not to be confused with the Average Gain TEST in the
View, which is really a test of the accuracy of results. I think all these
features are included in the Demo version as well.
