Tom: I totally agree - it would be awfully unrealistic to trust the model, and I assumed everyone would feel the same way. What I was hoping to find out is what it is that causes NEC to tell us these unusual things. If there is a particular condition that causes NEC to give results that are suspect, I'd love to not repeat that in the next antenna that I model. And of course, there are often work-arounds for problems a la the direct connection to ground issue. Chuck |
