| With the discussion on the QRP-L reflector on wire beams and TV twin-lead antennas... Just a thought... Anyone ever build a "shortened dual-band" twin-lead 160/80 (or other combination - 80/40/15?) dipole with linear loading on the lower (top)band? The idea would be to tie the 2 wires together at the center (feed with coax) AND at the ends, and then clip one of the wires at the 80 M resonance point. The length being calculated for the linear loading on the lower band... O.J. Lougheed, ex-N5JXU |
