Last time, my post didn't make it, so maybe you can relay if this one has
problems.
Briefly, let's look at other bands to see how this will work. What happens
from 3790-3800 during domestic phone contests? That's right, the "DX
Window" is filled with domestic contest stations. I am very glad to see the
new band plan that the ARRL is backing, but we've got to face the facts that
without FCC regulation for band/mode segments, it just has no teeth - kinda
like a useless old dog.
Top Band contesting has gotten very competitive lately, and much as I'd like
to think this will work, I don't believe it can. Not during contests. Any
other time, fine, but during contests it will be disregarded, unless there
are teeth installed.
I won't cheat, but others will...
