Hello Stew,
I'm sure it really depends on local conditions but in my case
K9AY installed in similar description to yours is working quite well.
My K9AY is installed about 12 m from 18m high tower with
yagis on the top.The arm of my 160m sloper is about 10 meters
from the loop.
I'm sure K9AY loops would work better in a bigger distance from
the tower and Sloper but because my garden is only 30X30m I have
no other solution and anyway I'm VERY satisfied with these loops.
I was comparing K9AY's with EWE's and at least in my case K9AY were
much better than EWE's.Of course even 160m long Beverage is better
than this kind of antenna ,but if you have not enough place its for sure
better than your transmitting one.
