Barrie is a resident of St. Helena.
I met up with Barrie ZD7MY on 40m on Jan. 27z and asked him to try 80m.
We couldn't make the QSO but i concluded it was too late for him. We
talked via e-mail and we agreed to try again Jan 28z a bit earlier
before his sunrise. We made the QSO as did some others even though he
is only running 80w with a "wire" antenna.
Barrie seems to be intersested in working both 80 and 160 and he seems
willing to be at the radio early in his morning.
I have since been corresponding with Barrie via e-mail and I have
offered to send him info on how to shunt-feed his tower and lay out some
radials etc. What would really help would be to get him some
"power"....anyone got a spare amp. sitting around??
