The topband dinner get-together here in Dayton last night was most
enjoyable. I met, for the first time, a large number of topband addicts
I've QSOed over the years. Enjoyed chatting with John (ON4UN), Ron
(PY2FUS), and my old personal friend Jose (EA3VY), as well as many of the
stateside gang. About 85 topbanders attended.
K1ZM gave a great presentation of his two recent DXpeditions. N0TT put
on a show about the recent FO0AAA DXpedition which was very entertaining.
9U5D gave an interesting talk about his trials and tribulations in
obtaining a legitimate license in Burundi. George, W8UVZ was an
outstanding host.
It seemed to end too early at about 11:00 PM, but I'll cherish the memory
of the affair forever.
