Hi Ink,

The most important thing to remember is that ALL other ground 
systems need to be removed and the antenna has to be a relatively 
clean system, otherwise the test doesn't mean anything outside of 
that one particular system and set of test conditions.

I had a 75 meter dipole that, when fed like a long wire, was several 
dB louder than any other antenna to another local station. One of 
my friends saw over twenty dB change on 75 meters when he went 
from an antenna tuner to matching stubs as measured locally. You 
can bet something weird was going on in both cases.
