I think Mario's reasoning is supported the fact that a Collins 75-A4 with a
stock 500hz mechanical filter and its feature of single conversion on the
160 meter band made it nearly impossible to beat compared with most modern
solid state transceivers. If you are fortunate to get your hands on an A4
you will be thrill by its performance even though it is 50 years old.
