Hi Gang,
A61AJ appeared at my QTH at 1440Z from the SW, only peaked to a 559 today, and
disappeared about 1513Z. He was being heard by quite a few, if the pileup
was any indication. Glad to see a few more of the west-coasters make it.
Down the band on 1.833, at 1430Z, 9M2AX was pounding in a honest 599, while
further down, around 1.827, about the same time, was 9V1PC with a good 559
signal (Not bad for his 10 watts). 9V1PC/Peter made several folks happy with
a new one. BTW, Peter is a brand-new, first time daddy. His little daughter,
Alexis is a little over two weeks old.
All in all, topband was in pretty good shape even though the aurora ovals
were at a level 6.
