I guess I should have corrected that bust at the time, but had to QRT!
Conditions were most peculiar here this morning (in North Eastern Ontario).
I (eventually) worked VK6HD and gave him a good report because he sounded
very loud. Afterwards I looked at my S-meter and he was not moving it at
all... The loud USA stations were barely reaching S9... The VKs were coming
from the South West... The noise level wasn't... The Auroral absorption was
doing its thing!
