First of all i wanna thanks all of those who have answer back to "Loaded
ground plane" msg.
Many people have suggested the Elevated 1/8 wave Radials as described by
K5IU and co.
Just two questions:
Various articles i've read talks about monoband 160 version of this device,
my butternut hf-2v (with kit) is now a tribander antenna so...what have to
use :
- three sets of wave/8 connected next 12uH inductor or
- three inductors, each with its set of radials
probably the second solution due to different behaviour of the same coil at
various freq. ??
And next: it seems that the use of this system is not for space problems ,
but to gain equal
currents flowing trough radials and so omni pattern.
Can somebody explain how this work considering the difference between
connect 4 quarter wave to coax braid and 4 wave/8 after a coil ???
