Got up at 0900z this morning to listen for ZL9CI on 160m cw. Some of the
previous mornings I had heard stateside stations working him but had never
heard him. This morning I didn't even hear stations calling him. Was just
getting ready to call it quits about 1035z when I thought I heard a faint
signal on 1826.5. Kept listening, signal came and went some, then I
barely, but definitely, heard ZL9CI sign. Gave him a call--quick QSO (my
thanks to the team). His signal was above the noise level for less than 5
minutes here at this city lot QTH in southeastern New Mexico.
