The DX News Letter reports that Western Sahara stations S08R and
S0RASD will be active from 24 March through 20 April. Plans are to
be mostly on 40, 80 and 160 meters. It was also reported that the
area may become independent and receive a new prefix in 1999.
Special event station S08R will be on the air from 9 to 20 April in
celebration of independence of Western Sahara. QSL both of these
operations via EA2JG, Arseli Echeguren Bardeci, 6 Barrena Kalea,
E-01408 Luyando Alava, Spain. Suggested frequencies for S08R are as
