Greetings top-banders,

With the topband full of 2000 microvolt CQ machines from 1.8-1.875MHz =
it's a wonder anybody worked any DX. Conditions were good. They were not =
poor by any standard. They were just different. That perhaps more than =
anything else makes 160 an interesting band. Keep in mind that the =
really good contesters follow the sun.

I will note that the JA's have become more active in their views of =
contesting. They appear better equiped to do the job and spend much =
more time looking for new ones to the west. They now take much better =
control of their spectrum by spreading NA stations out through the first =
40KHz of the band! Top-band Rumor N7JW had over 200 in the log!!!

The admittedly getting older, (half deaf) KG7D CQ 160 results: 333 15 51 =
60,720 Low Power 90% S&P

73
Bob, KG7D
