Top Banders:

We had 1 hour of long path propagation tonight around local sunset
(which is 2125Z today) in eastern MA. I heard the following
stations:

First, VK6VZ from 2110 to 2130Z, peaking 559. Signals coming in
best on European Beverage (45 degrees). Many Europeans calling
(also a couple other W1's at one point), but unfortunately no QSO.

Next, JA4LXY on 1910.7 from 2135 to 2205Z, peaking 559 at the
height of the opening. QSX 1830, but many Europeans also calling
and no QSO.

JR6PGB on 1908.7 from 2155-2205Z and signals 449-559. QSX
1837, but (you guessed it) the European competition was too much
for a 2-way from here.

Also, caught another JA, possibly JA3ONB but not sure about the
call, briefly on 1910.3 at 2155Z. A couple other weaker JA's were
heard on 1908.2 and 1911.3 but could not make solid ID's.

All JA's were best copy on the southeast Beverage (135 degrees).

It was interesting to note that the JA beacon on 3925 kHz was stronger
than usual, but not as strong as it gets at its best this time of year.
However, the No. Korean beacon on 2850 kHz was absolutely
roaring in--the strongest I have heard it this year.
