I have just finished tuning my easterly EWE., using a ICE matching
unit (gave me an 1.5:1 swr., then adjusted the other end of the antenna
by tweeking the R = C values, which brought the swr down to 1:1 on the
RF Analyst... Now my question is, would adding a ground return between
the feed point ground and the ground on the back vertical portion., be of
any use ?? Seems to me I had read something about this on the reflector.
Also is there anything else which I could check or improve on to ensure
that it should (might) work ?? The EWE is 14' high and has a 40'
horizontal section... Thanks for any info..
Merry Christmas to all and I will see you in the CQ WW CW 160 contest
from 8P9DX next month !!! 73 Glenn VA3DX 8P9DX
