Friends,
The Space Environment Center is changing their IP address on Friday,
December 12. This will make certain features of the Aurora Monitor
Page unavailable until their new address reaches the appropriate name
servers. The outage may range from a couple of hours to as much as 5
days, so please be patient. If the site you have been using (Primary
or Mirror) doesn't work, try the other... they may not both come back
at the same time.
In particular, the NOAA-12 Auroral Oval, Satellite Environment Plot,
and the link to the GOES 8 & 9 Xray plot will be affected. The exact
affects of this on function of the Aurora Monitor Page itself may
vary... but expect problems.
SEC expects to have better (faster) service after the change. Sorry
for the inconvenience.
