Following gleaned from QSOs on 24 & 28 Mhz ....
TT8JFC ..John in Chad ..
Active from 2200z on 1840.0Khz
XT2DP in Burkino Faso ...
Has suffered lightning damage to the TS-50 rig, which has affected his CW
operation
He can only operate SSB on all bands ... due to lightning damage, his rig puts
out continuous carrier on CW and is unable to key
the Tx ... sez, quote "you'll need a good ant to hear me on 160!" (Apparently
everything, including house, water supply, power
source, antenna masts etc. are all home-brew ... no technical assistance for
rig repair ... nearest source of QRM/QRN is at least
100Km away .... but faulty rig is spoiling his activities ...
