Last night was pretty quiet here (for a change), but noisy on the east coast
and in Europe. We were hearing Europe just after our sunset and worked DK1NO
and G3PQA with 559 signals. Called OM3EY many times. Played with RTTY for
4 hours then returned to 160M. EM1HO answered a CQ for country #95. Thanks
Paul. Hearing many Europeans around 559, but as European sunrise approached
signals came up. Worked OM3EY so guess QRN was not as bad as earlier (when do
these guys sleep?!). Exchanged 599 with DF2PY and ON4GG. OZ7C, SM6MCW,
DJ7MI, and HB9ATA peaked almost as strong. Worked 16 Europeans and
Anartica, the best opening so far this year. Stayed up past 0700 UTC hoping
for GU and EA6. Maybe tonight?
