condx on Monday/Tuesday
Wasn`t that a thrill on Monday ? Just got up too late, but had a ball!
Heard G-stns wrk W7s with huge sig rprts.First wkd W7GG ( he was
audible in EU past sunrise ) then it nearly knocked me off the chair,
it was Jack-KH6CC calling ! First QSO for this season with him.
Then N7UA rolled in with a 589 sig on my 2el vertival array.
N6TR got in kind a`late ,followed by W0RI and W7LR(had no real QSO but
next time I`ll be in earlier ).Tuesday am showed Colorado as the
western limit for one-sixty (at least in my qth ) AA0RS did it and
afterwards Bill said the regular " good morning" from Nebraska.
Interesting that on both days my 850 ft bev to USA gave almost no
signal ! ( its alrite-i checked it ) must have something to do with
incoming signal angles. The new 2el array was used on all contacts
for receive. The east coast "biggies" like K8ND etc. showed not
much sig difference on the beverage (wid preamp turned to vert. noise
figure ) versus the 2el array.Anyways, just a short report from the
" old world ",thanks for all the nice QSOs !
see u guys " down there " de wolf -df2py-
