Randy, K0EU, the main low band operator on Kure just said "sorry, no 160
Meter operation from Mideay". They apparently didn't want to risk the
enviromental objection of the local authorities by putting up the Titanex
vertical with its guy ropes for fear of jeopardizing future operations on
Midway - especially as they were only gg to be QRV for one day.
Too bad, they had an excellent sig from Kure with that vertical.
