The Unihat is a good antenna, but don't swallow all the bunk about
radiation resistance and the claims it does not need radials.

They initially made some incorrect technical claims (including claims
that Los Alamos National Labs measured the antenna) but those claims
have all been dropped now.

It is a simple hat loaded short vertical for 160, no magic. It works
well because the hat is large and the antenna is fairly tall. It still
needs a good ground system and it will NEVER work as well as a full
sized antenna. It is VERY well constructed, but as the manufacturer
learned (but McCoy didn't) it is not magic.
