To all Topband@contesting.com readers:
AD1C, KM3T, N4VJ & N5KO have each chipped in on a new server running
Majordomo to support various ham-radio-related mailing lists,
including Topband@contesting.com. Internet connectivity for this service
is bring provided by Akorn Access, Inc., of Alpharetta, GA. We are
also using the lastest version of Majordomo which will simplify
administration of the list (e.g. as part of the subscription process, you
will need to answer a confirmation message which ensures that the
address you are using is a valid one.) The software will also prevent
accidentally copying messages to the reflector which are addressed to
individuals. Archives will be available organized by month at the
URL http://www.contesting.com/_topband/ although it may take a few
days for this to work correctly.
Effective immediately, all postings to the Topband mailing list
should be sent to
Topband@contesting.com (check your bookmark list!)
and all SUBSCRIBE and UNSUBSCRIBE requests should be sent to
Topband-request@contesting.com
A very BIG thanks to the above guys for implementing this. It will
certainly make the list administration much more effective. Now all
we have to do is keep the reflector focused on meaningful 160-related
content!
