I too have heard the same type of signals on 160 mtrs. I was living in
northwestern Ontario and was listening to some w7 stations on 160. At first
I thought that they guys were using reverb but they weren't and were just as
puzzled as I was. I chalked it up to some sort of multipath,but the delays
must have been terrific. If you get a good answer I'd be interested in it.
