160M - VK0IR was in here much better than yesterday starting from around
2155z. Sigs were 569 on 1822Khz while the boys ran JA's.

Around 2215z or so, they started listening for USA. Later they qsy'd to
1826.5 and listened up 5-8 KHZ for USA calls.

They seemed to hear vy well and had a good pile going by 2240z.

Tonight, a large number of little pistols made it through from the W1, and W2
areas including KA1GJ, K1AM, WA1LNP, K1GE, a nd others. I also heard some
stations on the "margins" where it is really tough to get through make the
grade including W4YV and N4WW in Florida. I think Austin's qso may in fact
be the furthest South in the USA they have worked so far!

Sigs were coming out of the NE and the SE at the same time with copy peaking
579 around 2235z. By 2310Z they were dropping and VK0IR seemed to call his
last cq's about 2315z tonight.

I was still copying them well and W4OWJ in Fla was calling at this time, but
they seemed to quit early tonight.

Note to John/ON4UN - If they can keep it coming on 160M it would be
appreciated. There are still quite a few boys who DID NOT MAKE IT YET who
were in there calling. Many of these are lesser-equipped stations whom the
boys seem to be able to hear on a good night - plus stations on the margin
who are straining to hear VK0IR as they approach their sunsets. Maybe they
too can still 'eke out a qso like N4WW did tonight if they catch a break.

73 for now
