Charlie O'Brien, W2EQS/W9NFC, former 160 editor for CQ and now SK, had a
Dentron Amp with the same problem. I see that on another posting (sorry,
deleted it so can't remember whom to credit) added 200 pf in the tank
circuit. To fix Charlie's, we added several turns to the bottom of the
coil. Same idea: the output is low because the tank can't tune low enough.
Add C or L and the problem is solved.
