The original Herc had an inbuilt power supply. He has to have the Herc II, and

Can you be a bit more specific? Ten-Tec made more than one model solid
state amplifier. Since the power supply is so heavy I am guessing it is one
of the Hercules solid state amplifiers and not of the lower power units
used for QRP rigs. The Hercules and Hercules II are quite different.
