[TenTec] Orion 2 external display (and leaving your HF rig on 24/7)

I recently purchased a TT Orion II and am anxiously awaiting its arrival.
Obviously, I am reading all I can on it in advance.

I was curious, however, if anything ever came of the external display for
the O2?

I like to keep my rigs on 24/7 during the radio months (fall winter) and
they seldom are on in the warmer weather. As this will be my first rig with
a screen, that may not be wise--unless it had an alternate or I could blank
the screen. Curious to know if others have looked in to this.
