I have an Omni 6+ and a Paragon from the estate of K4BEH (which are up for 
sale) but I have experienced the same issue as you - the AGC on the Omni 6+ 
sounds harsh, like the attack is too slow, resulting in distorted audio on CW. 
The Paragon does not have this issue. A complete alignment of the Omni 6+ cured 
a number of ills, but not this one. With the RG gain backed off some, the issue 
goes away.

Ideas anyone????
