This works with two Omni VI radios slaved together.
Remove the TX OUT and TX EN jumper.
That will inhibit the transmitter.
Unfortunately the Paragon does not have DSP audio muting, nor a MUTE input.
However, with the OUT and EN amplifier control lines disabled, you might be
able to use the KEY line to key the
radio, which will transfer the TX and RX control voltages internally. That
should handle the putting the rx into standby.
Worth a shot.

also,
use the second RX input jack to be safe.
you can temporarily remove the coax jumper between the
exciter board and PA to provide further protection
against accidental keying if the jacks get mixed up.
